Edge Marketing Hires Senior Paid Media Strategist, Expands Team
Gold Coast agency Edge Marketing expands paid media leadership with Tika Hasborth's appointment, signaling how independent agencies are deepening specialist capabilities to compete with larger networks.
Independent agency Edge Marketing announced five appointments and promotions on March 16, 2026, including the hire of Tika Hasborth as Senior Paid Media Strategist, as the Gold Coast-based agency expands its paid media, client service, and creative capabilities.
New Paid Media Leadership Structure Takes Shape
Hasborth joins reporting directly to Head of Paid Media Mira Robinson, creating a two-tier paid media leadership structure. She brings experience across agency, in-house, and consultancy settings, including running her own advisory business before joining Edge.

Founder and Director Dan Hunjas cited her commercial range as the deciding factor. "Tika's well-rounded experience gives her a deep understanding of the pressures and opportunities our clients face to stay ahead of their competitors in a fragmented and challenging market," Hunjas said. "She combines strategic rigor with commercial acumen, and that balance is exactly what modern growth-focused organisations need from their agency partners."
Hasborth described the move as an opportunity to drive measurable outcomes. "Edge has built a strong reputation for delivering integrated solutions that genuinely move the needle for its clients," she said. "The agency's ambition, combined with its investment in people and systems, makes it an exciting place to drive best-in-class social strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes."
Four Additional Appointments Round Out the Expansion
Alongside the paid media hire, Edge appointed Jasmine Hefty as Digital Account Manager. Hefty brings eight years of digital and client leadership experience and will report to Head of Client Service Matt Roessler.
Victoria Hutchinson joins in a graphic design capacity. Her primary mandate is to refresh Edge's visual identity, with her hire explicitly positioned as a response to the rise of AI-generated content in the market.
Two internal promotions accompanied the external hires. Sushmita Sharma was elevated to Senior Account Manager, recognized for her contributions to client growth and internal process development. Jayd Ozolins was promoted to Senior Project Manager, supporting what Edge describes as its "second-layer client service model," a structured approach to client accountability and responsiveness.
Independent Agencies Across Asia-Pacific Deepen Specialist Capabilities
Edge's expansion reflects a pattern visible across independent paid media agencies in the Asia-Pacific region. Rather than competing on cost or speed alone, boutique agencies are investing in specialist depth to match the capability of larger network agencies.
Singapore-based OOm, established in 2006 and holding both Google Premier Partner and Meta Partner status, has expanded regionally into the Philippines and China. Independent agencies in Singapore report client ROAS benchmarks ranging from 8x to 11x, figures that rival results reported by holding company network agencies.
The simultaneous hiring of a paid media strategist and a graphic designer at Edge also mirrors a model adopted by some Singapore independents, where performance media buying and creative production are bundled into a single integrated offering, particularly for social platforms.
Edge Frames Moves as Capability Architecture, Not Headcount Growth
Hunjas positioned the announcements as a strategic evolution rather than simple team expansion. "Over recent years, Edge has strategically evolved to meet the rapidly increasing complexity of modern marketing," he said. "Success today is no longer about simply promoting products or services. It requires solving complex business challenges and delivering integrated solutions that unlock meaningful growth for our clients."
He added that talent investment remains central to the agency's scaling ambitions. "Having the very best talent on board is critical to driving growth for our clients and for the agency. These appointments and promotions signal the confidence and momentum Edge is experiencing as we continue to scale."
Full details of the appointments were covered across multiple industry outlets on March 16, 2026.
