Havas Moonfolks Appoints Erwin Airlangga as Chief Strategy Officer
Havas Moonfolks appoints Indonesia veteran Erwin Airlangga as Chief Strategy Officer, signaling aggressive expansion in Southeast Asia's largest ad market.
Havas Moonfolks has appointed Erwin Airlangga as Chief Strategy and Growth Officer, the Jakarta-based agency announced on March 9, 2026. The hire is part of a broader leadership overhaul spanning five senior roles.
Airlangga Brings 26 Years of Indonesian Market Experience
Airlangga joins from Dentsu Creative, where he served as Chief Strategic Officer. Before that, he spent 15 years as CEO of Dwi Sapta Integrated Marketing Communication, Indonesia's largest independent advertising and media network, founded in 1981.

He also currently serves as Vice President of Communications at the Indonesia Marketing Association, giving Havas Moonfolks direct access to the country's senior marketing community.
In his new role, Airlangga will lead strategic planning across media services and drive new business growth as the agency expands its presence in Indonesia.
"The agency rebranded just over a year ago, bringing new leadership, a clear vision, and the opportunity to build something truly meaningful," Airlangga said. "With a young yet highly talented team in place, this is an opportunity I have been looking forward to for a long time."
Five Leadership Roles Restructured in Single Announcement
The appointment is one of five senior leadership changes announced simultaneously. Yuni Isdiyatiningsih was promoted to Head of Trading. Sanchar Roy was appointed Head of Commerce and Digital Planning. Deriz Syarief was elevated to Head of Operations. Stefanus Christopher continues as General Manager, providing continuity as the agency adds senior strategic leadership above existing operations.
The agency also made additional new hires across trading, account management, and planning functions.
Anish Daryani, President Director of Havas Moonfolks, said: "Growth is the ultimate ambition for every brand, and strengthening our leadership team is a critical step in helping our clients achieve it. Since restructuring the business in 2025, we've seen strong momentum, and building on this progress, we've continued to invest in leadership and talent across functions."
Seven New Clients Added Since Rebranding
Havas Moonfolks was formed through a strategic alliance between Havas and Moonfolks, formerly known as M&C Saatchi Indonesia, around March 2025. The combined agency brought together Havas' proprietary planning and trading tools with Moonfolks' local market capabilities.
Since rebranding, the agency has added seven clients: GSK, Webull, Yoyic, Samsonite and American Tourister, Emirates, Hanasui, and Cinnepolis. The portfolio spans pharmaceuticals, fintech, aviation, travel retail, beauty, and entertainment.
Indonesia Positioned as Core to Havas' Southeast Asia Strategy
Pankaj Nayak, CEO of Havas Media Network Singapore and President of Havas Media Southeast Asia, framed the appointments within a regional growth plan.
"Indonesia remains central to our growth strategy in Southeast Asia," Nayak said. "Anchored in Havas' 'Growth, Powered by Desire' mindset, we are building deeper strategic capability that enables brands to stand out and win through originality."
The March 2026 restructuring represents the second phase of a capability-building program that Daryani says began with the 2025 business restructuring. Havas Moonfolks said the expanded leadership team signals "a deliberate shift towards deeper strategic capability, integrated planning, and scalable growth."
