JCDecaux Promotes Three Internal Execs to ANZ Leadership Roles

Out-of-home advertising company JCDecaux has restructured its Australia and New Zealand leadership team, appointing three internal executives to lead sales, product, and strategy functions across the region.

The simultaneous promotions place experienced company veterans in positions overseeing revenue generation, product development, and business planning. All three executives have commenced their roles and joined the company's Executive Leadership Team.

Leadership Appointments Across Core Functions

John Harris has been promoted to Chief Sales Officer after 19 years with JCDecaux across the UK and Australia. Previously serving as General Manager, Sales, Harris now oversees National Sales, Trading, and Programmatic operations, with responsibility for customer outcomes, revenue generation, and market performance.

Jemma Enright becomes Executive General Manager, Product, bringing 25 years of media, product, and innovation experience. She previously led JCDecaux's airports business and worked on airport product strategy. Her responsibilities now cover the company's entire product portfolio, including inventory design, commercial packaging, and development of new formats across physical and digital assets.

Eddie Foo takes the role of Executive General Manager, Strategy, returning to JCDecaux in 2019 after accumulating over 20 years of senior leadership experience across multiple industries including media, construction, travel, and industrial services. Foo has been instrumental in shaping business strategy and leading major tender programs, which are crucial for securing advertising rights with councils, transport networks, and public infrastructure.

Internal Promotion Strategy

Co-CEO Dave Watkins emphasized the value of promoting from within the organization. "This is a proven group of leaders who know our business, our clients and our culture," Watkins stated. "Their experience and leadership will help us stay ahead of changing customer needs, strengthen our partnerships, and continue setting the standard for quality and performance in Out-of-Home."

The approach positions executives with deep institutional knowledge in roles central to revenue management and portfolio development. The three appointments fill critical positions overseeing customer-facing operations, product innovation, and long-term business planning.

Organizational Structure for Market Competition

The coordinated nature of the three appointments suggests integrated business planning rather than reactive hiring to fill individual vacancies. By placing experienced internal leaders in sales, product, and strategy roles simultaneously, JCDecaux has structured its ANZ leadership around three interconnected functions that drive market competitiveness.

The sales function under Harris focuses on revenue generation and customer relationships. Enright's product role centers on developing and packaging advertising inventory across JCDecaux's physical and digital assets. Foo's strategy position involves business planning and securing the public infrastructure contracts that provide the foundation for JCDecaux's advertising inventory.

JCDecaux has not indicated whether additional executive changes are planned for the ANZ region.
