How Havas-Backed Kaimera Consolidated Two Brands Under One Media Partner

Havas-owned Kaimera wins Aveo's full-service media account and consolidates both Aveo and Scape under one agency partner. The move signals how retirement living brands are centralizing media strategy for efficiency.

How Havas-Backed Kaimera Consolidated Two Brands Under One Media Partner

Havas-owned Kaimera has been appointed as the national full-service media agency for Aveo, a leading Australian retirement village operator, following a competitive pitch against at least four other agencies. Work commenced on February 1, 2026.

Selection Criteria Cited by Aveo Marketing Chief

Aveo General Manager of Marketing and Communications Joel Fyfe confirmed the appointment, naming three factors behind the decision.

Why Wealth Firms Are Shifting to Full-Funnel Media Strategy
Australian wealth manager LongView appoints RCJ to drive brand and performance media for HomeFlex. The shift signals how APAC wealth firms are moving beyond events toward measurable client acquisition at scale.

"We were looking for an agency partner that could bring fresh thinking, agility and a truly connected media strategy to support Aveo's evolving growth ambitions," Fyfe said. "Kaimera demonstrated a clear understanding of our brand, our customers and the unique dynamics of the retirement living sector."

Fyfe also cited a consolidation benefit as a deciding factor. Kaimera will manage media for both Aveo and Scape, the two brands under parent company The Living Company. "Their ability to deliver an integrated full-service solution, combined with the efficiencies of having The Living Company's brands, Aveo and Scape, under one agency, gives us confidence as we enter our next chapter of growth," he added.

Kaimera will deliver a full-funnel media strategy across all channels nationally, covering both brand building and performance marketing.

Kaimera's Positioning as an "Amplified Independent"

Kaimera was founded in 2016 by Nick Behr and operates across Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland with more than 50 staff. Havas acquired the agency in 2025, adding it to the Havas Media Network and granting access to the Converged.AI platform. The agency describes itself as an "Amplified Independent," combining the speed of a smaller agency with the technology infrastructure of a global network.

Anna Magliano, Kaimera's Chief Client Officer, said the agency is bringing "a genuinely fresh perspective to Aveo's media strategy, delivering a connected full-funnel approach that supports both brand building and performance outcomes."

She added: "Our agile operating model allows us to move at pace in a dynamic market, ensuring we're optimizing in real time while staying anchored to long-term growth."

APAC Pitch Activity and Market Background

The Aveo appointment is one of several major media account decisions finalized for a February 1, 2026 start date in the region. Dentsu separately won the Tapestry APAC and EMEAI media account on the same commencement date, with its pitch centered on local market insight and translating strategic ambition into consumer connections.

Independent agencies across Asia are increasingly competing against larger network agencies by combining agility with integrated services. Indian firms including Gozoop, Wondrlab, DViO, and Famous Innovations have adopted a similar model, positioning as consulting partners with integrated traditional, digital, and AI capabilities.

About Aveo

Founded in 1989, Aveo owns and manages 67 retirement communities across major metropolitan and coastal locations on Australia's eastern seaboard. The company serves Australians aged 55 and over, offering independent living options alongside care services and community facilities. Aveo's brand centers on reframing retirement living as a purposeful and connected chapter of life.

The appointment reinforces Kaimera's position in the Australian media market following its acquisition by Havas in 2025.
