Monks Appoints Dentsu CFO Bharti Agrawal to Lead APAC Finance

S4Capital's Monks has appointed Bharti Agrawal as Chief Financial Officer, APAC, Marketing Services, effective March 11, 2026, placing dedicated regional financial leadership in Singapore as the company works to grow its Asia-Pacific revenue share significantly.

Agrawal Brings Multi-Market Finance Experience from Dentsu International

Agrawal joins Monks from Dentsu International, where she served as Southeast Asia CFO. In that role, she managed a direct team of seven professionals across six markets, with approximately 200 indirect headcount. Her responsibilities included financial reporting, forecasting, growth initiatives, and transformation execution within a complex, multi-market structure.

Analytic Partners names former Meta executive Andy Ford as Associate Vice President for APAC, signaling aggressive regional expansion in marketing measurement and client services.

Before Dentsu, she held senior roles in Transaction Services and M&A at KPMG in both Brazil and the United Kingdom. She advised corporate and private equity clients on cross-border deals and capital market engagements across sectors including telecommunications, media, food and beverage, hospitality, and energy.

Agrawal will report to Jordi Covas, Global CFO of Marketing Services at Monks, and will oversee financial strategy, operations, and governance across the Asia-Pacific region.

"Her extensive experience leading multi-market finance teams, driving operational transformation, and partnering closely with business leaders will be instrumental as we continue to accelerate our momentum and strengthen our presence and leadership across Asia-Pacific," said Covas.

Kenny Griffiths, Executive Vice President at Monks APAC, added that Agrawal's "deep experience in navigating complex, multi-market environments and her strong partnership mindset will be invaluable as we continue to scale our operations, deepen client relationships and build a more agile, future-ready organization across the region."

APAC Revenue Gap Frames the Appointment

Monks' Asia-Pacific business currently accounts for 5.7% of total net revenue. The company has stated a long-term geographic target of 20% for the region. The appointment of a dedicated APAC CFO represents a structural move toward closing that gap.

The APAC marketing agencies market is growing at a rate exceeding 7% annually through 2030, driven by digital adoption in China, India, and Japan, and e-commerce expansion across Southeast Asia. The APAC customer experience management market is projected to reach US$20 billion within three years, with Japan, China, India, and ANZ accounting for 75% of that value.

The competitive landscape is also shifting rapidly. Omnicom's US$13 billion merger with IPG triggered APAC leadership restructuring across India, China, and Southeast Asia. Stagwell's US$24 million acquisition of ADK Global expanded its regional footprint to 10 markets with more than 2,000 staff.

Coordinated Regional Build-Out at Monks

Agrawal's appointment follows a pattern of concentrated leadership investment at Monks heading into 2026. Deb Stroff was named Chief People Officer in February 2026. Yohei Adachi was appointed to lead creative operations in Japan as part of a parallel APAC leadership build-out.

At the board level, S4Capital added Nirvik Singh, a former Grey Group COO with APAC operational expertise, in May 2025.

Monks' total global headcount stands at 7,150. Marketing Services accounts for 90% of the company's net revenue, with Technology Services at 10%. The company's AI-native platform, Monks.Flow, was positioned at CES 2026 as a tool to shift marketing from a cost center to a growth engine, a framing that aligns directly with the financial transformation mandate Agrawal now holds across the region.
