Prometheus Group Hires 3 Senior Execs for APAC Expansion
Enterprise asset management vendor strengthens Sydney office with marketing, customer success, and solution engineering directors amid APAC tech spending surge.
Prometheus Group appointed three senior executives to its Sydney office this month, strengthening its Asia Pacific enterprise team as global technology vendors accelerate regional expansion plans. The enterprise asset management software provider hired directors for marketing, customer success, and solution engineering functions simultaneously.
Regional Push Mirrors Broader Investment Wave
Laura Jenkins joined as Director of Marketing APAC after leading cross-channel programs at Smartsheet as Director of Marketing for Asia Pacific and Japan. Jenkins brings over 20 years of marketing experience, including her role as Head of Marketing APAC at Temenos, where she managed teams across Australia, Singapore, and China.

Arent van der Schatt Olivier took the position of Head of Customer Success APAC, bringing 16 years of IT industry experience from SAP. He most recently served as Head of SAP Finance and Spend Management and Customer Success APAC, expanding responsibilities across Australia, Japan, and the Netherlands.
Stephen Chan joined as Head of Solution Engineering APAC with more than 25 years of IT experience, including 15 years at SAP in various roles. His most recent position was Director, Architecture Advisory for Enterprise Industries in Australia and New Zealand. Chan began his career at Oracle, holding principal sales and solution consulting positions over eight years.
Iman Ghodosi, General Manager APAC at Prometheus, stated these appointments will help APAC "quickly emerge as one of our primary growth engines." The company sells enterprise asset management software that integrates with ERP systems and offers AI-enhanced platforms.
Tech Spending Growth Drives Hiring Strategy
The appointments align with significant infrastructure investments across Asia Pacific. Microsoft committed $17.5 billion to India's cloud and AI infrastructure in 2025, while U.S. tech giants invested $16.8 billion in Malaysia's AI and data centers in 2024.
APAC tech spending grew 5.6% in 2025 compared to the global average, led by India at 9.6% growth. India attracted $76 billion in manufacturing foreign direct investment in 2024, marking 13% year-over-year growth and surpassing China as the region's top tech investment destination.
The hiring of veterans from SAP and Oracle reflects enterprise demand for ERP-integrated solutions. U.S. cloud providers plan 30% spending growth in 2026, driving demand for regional solution engineering teams.
Security and Sovereignty Shape Expansion Plans
Over 90% of APAC enterprises will invest in quantum security by 2026, according to government initiatives in Singapore and India. Sovereign AI strategies push 50% of APAC firms to adopt diverse cloud mixes by 2026, requiring localized teams to manage regional requirements.
Prometheus' simultaneous appointments across marketing, customer success, and solution engineering represent an integrated approach to regional expansion rather than building isolated functions. This structure allows vendors to align messaging, implementation support, and technical architecture across customer touchpoints.
The company's focus on Sydney positions it within Australia's growing tech talent market while maintaining access to Japan, Southeast Asia, and India markets. Jenkins' previous experience managing teams across multiple APAC countries suggests Prometheus plans to expand beyond its initial Sydney base as regional operations mature.
