Atlassian Adds AI Remix and Partner Agents to Confluence
Atlassian launches Confluence Remix to convert documents into visual formats and three partner agents for seamless third-party integrations. Teams can now transform content into charts, prototypes, and presentations without leaving the platform.
Atlassian launched two new artificial intelligence features in Confluence this month, allowing teams to convert written documents into visual formats and connect directly to third-party tools without leaving the platform.
Confluence Remix Converts Pages into Visual Formats
Confluence Remix entered open beta between April 8 and 10, 2026. The tool allows users to highlight text, tables, or full documents and convert them into charts, infographics, scorecards, or presentation-ready summaries.
Outputs remain linked to the original Confluence page rather than being saved as separate files. This means visuals update automatically when the source document changes, removing the version-control problems that arise when charts are separated from their data.
Remix uses Atlassian's Teamwork Graph, built from more than 100 billion data points across Jira, Confluence, and connected tools, to recommend the most appropriate visual format based on content type and how the organization typically uses similar documents.
"With Remix and agents in Confluence, a single page becomes the starting point for whatever comes next: a clear story for leaders, a prototype for builders, or a walkthrough for customers, all from the same source of truth," said Sanchan Saxena, Senior Vice President and Head of Product, Teamwork Collection, at Atlassian.
Three Partner Agents Connect Confluence to External Tools
Three pre-built partner agents went live on April 13, 2026, built on the open Model Context Protocol (MCP), a standard that allows AI systems and software tools to exchange information in a consistent format.

The three agents are Lovable, which converts product specification pages into working user interface prototypes; Replit, which turns technical documents into starter applications; and Gamma, which transforms meeting notes or status pages into polished presentations.
Administrators activate the agents through Atlassian Administration under Connected Apps. No custom code is required. Once enabled, agents appear automatically in the team's Rovo directory and read page content and metadata to generate outputs that link back to the source document.

Platform Context and Competitive Position
Atlassian serves more than 350,000 customers globally, including over 80% of Fortune 500 companies. The Remix and partner agent rollout applies under general global availability terms, with no Asia-specific restrictions identified at time of publication.
The launch follows Atlassian's announcement of 1,600 job cuts, with the company explicitly redirecting those resources toward AI investment. The speed of the product release following that announcement indicates these features were in advanced development prior to the workforce reduction.
Atlassian positions Confluence as a direct competitor to Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Notion in the enterprise collaboration category. By keeping document creation, visualization, and tool integration inside a single platform, the company aims to reduce the context-switching that fragments workflows across multiple software tools.
Earlier Atlassian Intelligence features, including content summarization, writing improvement, and AI search, are available on Premium and Enterprise plans. Remix and partner agents are expected to follow a similar tiered access model, though Atlassian has not confirmed specific plan-level requirements at time of publication.
More partner agents are planned for future release.
