Millennium Hotels Appoints Cinn Tan as Chief Commercial Officer

Millennium Hotels consolidates seven commercial functions under new CCO Cinn Tan, importing a tested integrated model that delivers 1.9% higher revenue growth industry-wide.

Millennium Hotels Appoints Cinn Tan as Chief Commercial Officer

Millennium Hotels and Resorts (MHR) has appointed Cinn Tan as Chief Commercial Officer, effective January 2026. The Hong Leong Group subsidiary publicly announced the appointment on March 31, 2026.

Tan is based in Singapore and brings over 30 years of international hospitality experience across Asia Pacific, China, Europe, and the United States.

Seven Commercial Functions Placed Under Single Leadership

Tan's mandate consolidates seven functions under one executive: branding, marketing, loyalty, sales, distribution, revenue management, and digital platforms.

MHR Executive Director Kwek Eik Sheng described Tan as "a proven global commercial leader with a strong track record of advancing commercial capabilities and delivering sustainable growth." He added that Tan "will lead our commercial strategy across key markets to enhance brand alignment, improve performance, and drive strategic long-term value for the group."

The appointment covers MHR's portfolio of 145 hotels across 80 destinations, including properties in Singapore, Beijing, Dubai, London, Paris, Los Angeles, and New York.

A Proven Model Transferred From a Competing Group

Before joining MHR, Tan held the role of Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer at Pan Pacific Hotels Group. Her mandate there covered a nearly identical set of functions, including branding, loyalty, sales, revenue management, distribution, and digital marketing.

MHR's decision to recruit a leader who had already built and run this integrated model at a competing Asia-Pacific hotel group indicates the organization is importing a tested structure rather than building one from scratch.

Tan's career also includes senior leadership roles at Jin Jiang International and The Ascott Limited, two of Asia-Pacific's most significant hospitality groups. She holds an MBA from Rutgers University.

Industry Data Supports the Structural Shift

Hotels that integrate revenue management, sales, and marketing under unified leadership report 1.9% higher revenue growth and 4.7% higher earnings than competitors operating under separate departmental structures, according to 2026 industry analysis.

MHR is not alone in making this organizational change. Viceroy Hotels and Resorts appointed a new CCO alongside its CEO in late 2025. HSMAI has elevated the CCO role through board representation, with KSL Resorts' Kristie Goshow cited as a sector benchmark for integrating sales, marketing, and revenue strategy under one remit.

Research also shows that three in four customers prefer consistent service experiences across all platforms, a consumer behavior finding that supports the case for unified commercial leadership.

MHR's Leadership Build-Up Began Nine Months Earlier

MHR's commercial restructuring preceded Tan's arrival. In April 2025, Carolyn Wishnowski was promoted from Director to Vice President of Global Branding, Marketing and Loyalty, strengthening the operational layer before the CCO appointment was made.

Tan joined in January 2026, with the public announcement following roughly 90 days later. MHR marked its 30th anniversary in November 2025, with Tan's appointment arriving shortly after that milestone.
