Anthropic Launches Claude Design for AI-Powered Marketing Assets
Anthropic's Claude Design converts text prompts into marketing assets and landing pages. Asia-Pacific adoption is surging with 25% of Claude Code users now from the region.
Anthropic launched Claude Design on April 17, 2026, an AI-powered design tool that converts text prompts into prototypes, presentations, marketing assets, and landing pages. The tool is currently available in research preview for paid Claude subscribers across Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise tiers.
Claude Design Converts Conversations Into Visual Assets
Built on Claude Opus 4.7, the platform allows users without formal design training, including marketers, product managers, and founders, to generate visual content through simple text descriptions.

A key feature is automatic brand consistency. Claude Design analyzes a team's existing files and codebases, then applies that design system across all outputs without repeated manual input. The tool exports to PDF, PPTX, HTML, and Canva formats, and supports real-time collaborative editing.
Canva CEO Melanie Perkins publicly endorsed the integration, confirming that designs generated in Claude transfer directly into Canva's Visual Suite as fully editable assets. Canva now supports importing AI-generated HTML and interactive elements for visual editing. The two platforms are currently operating as complementary layers, not direct competitors.

Asia-Pacific Enterprise Adoption Precedes the Launch
Anthropic's commercial momentum in Asia-Pacific is substantial. The company's regional revenue run rate grew over 10x year-on-year, with large business accounts representing over US$100,000 in annual revenue growing 8x across the region.
Anthropic has opened four Asia-Pacific offices in rapid succession: Tokyo (serving as regional hub), Sydney, Bengaluru, and Seoul. More than 25% of Claude Code users globally now come from Asia-Pacific.
Korea ranks in the top five globally for both total and per-capita Claude usage. Korea's Claude Code active weekly users grew 6x over four months. India ranks second globally in consumer Claude adoption, with Anthropic expanding language support across 10 Indic languages including Hindi, Bengali, and Tamil.
Japanese enterprise deployments at Rakuten, Panasonic, Nomura Research Institute, and Classmethod, which reported 10x productivity gains with Claude, establish an existing enterprise base through which Claude Design could reach marketing and creative teams.
Three AI Design Platforms Now Compete for Enterprise Creative Workflows
Claude Design enters a market with established competition. Figma's AI design tool reached general availability in July 2025. Canva unveiled Canva AI 2.0 at its Canva Create event, describing it as the company's most significant evolution since its 2013 founding. OpenAI has established offices in Japan and South Korea, with Korea ranking as the second-largest market for ChatGPT paid subscribers globally after the United States.

For marketing leaders in Asia-Pacific, this represents a genuine multi-vendor choice environment. Claude Design's access restriction to paid subscribers means its initial regional user base will skew toward established enterprise customers rather than smaller businesses.
No Asia-specific enterprise case studies for Claude Design were available at time of publication. Claude Design's gradual rollout is continuing following its April 17 launch.
