Denodo Brings Agora Data Service to Microsoft Marketplace in APAC
Denodo's Agora data service is now on Microsoft Marketplace in APAC. Enterprise customers in Singapore and Australia can procure through Azure channels.
Enterprise data infrastructure just got easier to buy in Asia-Pacific. Denodo listed its cloud data service, Agora, on the Microsoft Marketplace on May 26-27, 2026. The product is now available through Microsoft's commercial sales channel for Azure customers in Australia, Singapore, and other markets across the region.
The move is about more than just another product listing. For large enterprises, buying software through established cloud channels reduces internal procurement headaches significantly. Eligible customers in Singapore can now count Denodo Agora purchases toward their Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment, meaning they can use pre-committed Azure budget rather than opening a new purchasing process. That matters in a region where enterprise and government procurement cycles tend to move slowly.
What Agora Does
Agora is Denodo's fully managed cloud service designed to give both human users and AI software agents access to data spread across an organization's systems. It connects to more than 200 source systems, including SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, and Snowflake. This covers the mix of on-premises software, cloud apps, and multi-cloud environments that most large APAC enterprises run today.
Rather than moving all that data into a single platform (which is expensive and raises compliance concerns), Agora acts as a connector layer. Users get a unified view of their data without reorganizing where it actually lives.
This design has a governance advantage in Asia-Pacific. Companies in Singapore, Australia, Indonesia, and other markets face increasingly strict rules about where data must be stored and how it can be accessed. A service that federates access without moving data fits those requirements.
Agentic AI Integration
The timing of the listing aligns with Microsoft's push into agentic AI, where software agents retrieve information and complete tasks with limited human involvement. Agora integrates with Microsoft Copilot agents via the Model Context Protocol, a standard that lets AI tools pull live data from external systems. Custom agents built on Microsoft's Foundry platform can also use Agora's programming interfaces for real-time data retrieval.
Most large organizations have data scattered across dozens of systems that predate their current AI investments. Agora's pitch is that it bridges that gap without requiring a data migration project.
"Microsoft is pleased to welcome Agora to Microsoft Azure and the Microsoft Marketplace," said Jake Zborowski, General Manager of Microsoft Azure Platform. "Together with Denodo, we look forward to helping enterprises accelerate agentic AI initiatives, especially those operating in complex hybrid, multi-cloud and data-sovereign environments."
Richard Jones, Denodo's VP and General Manager for APAC and Japan, said the listing gives mutual customers "a powerful solution for agentic AI use cases that leverage an organization's entire data estate across hybrid and multi-cloud environments."

Marketplace Procurement Advantages
Forrester research found that buying software through cloud marketplaces cuts vendor search and selection time by 66% compared to traditional procurement. That efficiency gain explains why data platform vendors are treating marketplace listings as a core sales strategy rather than a secondary channel.
Denodo has also listed Agora on AWS Marketplace simultaneously, pointing to a multi-cloud approach rather than a Microsoft-exclusive strategy. The Azure listing gets more attention now given Microsoft's 2026 agentic AI push across its Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Copilot products.
For APAC enterprises already standardizing on Azure, the practical takeaway is straightforward. Agora is now easier to evaluate, procure, and budget for through channels they already use.
