Man of Many Appoints Head of Social as Video Budgets Surge
Man of Many's new head of social signals publisher pivot to video as APAC marketers allocate 50%+ budgets to video platforms. What it means for branded content.
Man of Many, Australia's largest digital men's lifestyle publication, has appointed Amelia Navascues as head of social and production on January 28, 2026. The hire signals the publisher's strategic expansion into video, podcasting, and social-first content formats.
The appointment comes as APAC marketers increase online video budgets, with more than 50% allocating additional resources to video platforms in 2026. The move reflects broader industry trends where TikTok captures 35% of consumer attention in Southeast Asia, surpassing YouTube and Prime Video.
Proven Podcast Production Track Record
Navascues brings over a decade of media experience from organizations including MIK Studio, Triple J, Mamamia, and Fremantle Media Australia. During three years at MIK Studio, she produced several chart-topping Australian podcasts.

Her portfolio includes Anomalous with Em Rusciano, which ranked as Spotify's Best Podcasts of 2024 So Far and became the number one Health Podcast in Australia. She also produced The Fairbairn Podcast, which reached number three in Comedy Podcasts, and Mel & Sam, which hit number two in the same category.
In her new role, Navascues will lead content strategy and oversee multimedia initiatives across video, social platforms, and podcasting. She will streamline how content is conceived, produced, and repurposed across digital touchpoints.
Timing Follows Award Recognition
The hire follows Man of Many's wins at the 2025 Mumbrella Awards, where the publisher took home Media Brand of the Year and Website of the Year. The company's original video productions have gained international recognition, with selections at the New York City International Fashion Film Festival and Fashion Film Festival Chicago.
Man of Many has also been named a Financial Times High-Growth Company (APAC), AFR Fast 100, SmartCompany Smart50, and Deloitte Tech Fast 500 winner. The publisher recently won Gold for Best Native Advertising at the Digital Media Awards Asia.
"Amelia's proven ability to create chart-topping content aligns perfectly with our vision for the future of Man of Many," said Scott Purcell, co-founder of Man of Many.
Enhanced Branded Content Capabilities
Navascues' production expertise will strengthen Man of Many's in-house branded content studio, offering advertisers broadcast-quality integration opportunities. The appointment positions the publisher to compete with social platforms through original content creation rather than simple distribution.
The strategic move mirrors regional trends in APAC hiring, where publishers are bringing in platform-specific expertise. Nielsen recently appointed Matty Lin, a TikTok and ByteDance veteran, as APAC sales leader in Singapore, reflecting demand for short-form video capabilities.
The expansion into multimedia formats addresses changing consumption patterns in the region, where social commerce platforms drive 62% of impulse purchases in beauty and fashion categories across Southeast Asia.
