Why E-Commerce Tools Are Abandoning Single-Marketplace Strategies

Sellyze launches as an agnostic alternative to Amazon-only tools, covering Walmart, Etsy, and TikTok Shop. At US$29/month, it undercuts incumbents by 70-80%, addressing APAC sellers' multi-platform needs.

Why E-Commerce Tools Are Abandoning Single-Marketplace Strategies

A solo founder just entered one of the most crowded corners of e-commerce software, and his first move is a direct price war against incumbents charging four times as much.

Rami Taha launched Sellyze.ai in May 2026 as a tool that reads competitor product reviews and turns them into product improvement blueprints. The pitch is straightforward: instead of spending hours manually combing through customer complaints, sellers paste in a product link and get a structured action plan in minutes.

What sets Sellyze apart from existing tools is what it does not restrict itself to. Every major competitor (Helium 10, Jungle Scout, AMZScout) works exclusively on Amazon. Sellyze is built from the start to cover Amazon, Walmart, Etsy, and TikTok Shop from a single platform.

The Problem It Is Solving

The case against manual review research is easy to make. Identifying product gaps from competitor listings can take eight or more hours per product. Sellyze claims its four-stage AI pipeline does it in roughly five minutes.

Pattern Launches AI Execution Engine Across 70 Marketplaces
Pattern launched Pi, an AI execution engine automating eCommerce across 70 marketplaces. Real-time handling of pricing, offers, and inventory signals autonomous marketplace execution is becoming baseline infrastructure.

The pipeline works in sequence: pull up to 5,000 reviews from a competitor listing, classify complaints into six categories (product defects, missing features, quality issues, usability, design flaws, durability), filter out the noise (shipping delays, user errors account for 20% to 40% of complaints and get removed), then score the opportunity across five dimensions and generate a supplier-ready manufacturing brief automatically.

The output is not a dashboard. It is a document telling a seller exactly what to build and how to spec it for sourcing.

The Pricing Gap That Created the Opening

Sellyze's market timing is deliberate. Helium 10, the dominant seller intelligence platform, removed its US$39/month Starter Plan in April 2026 and raised its Platinum tier to US$129/month. The move triggered documented backlash on G2 and Capterra, with sellers actively searching for cheaper alternatives.

Sellyze enters at US$29/month for its Starter tier. Its Agency tier maxes out at US$199/month. That positions the platform at 70% to 80% cheaper than the incumbents it is explicitly targeting.

"Competitors tell you what's selling. We tell you why customers are unhappy, and exactly how to build something better," Taha said.

Why It Matters for APAC Sellers

The multi-marketplace angle is where this story gets relevant for Asian e-commerce operators specifically.

transcosmos and CREOK Partner to Manage TikTok Shop Operations in Japan
transcosmos partners with CREOK to provide full-stack TikTok Shop support in Japan, filling the gap in social commerce operations for brands entering the platform.

TikTok Shop's Southeast Asian GMV doubled year-on-year to US$45.6 billion in 2025, with Vietnam growing 150%, Indonesia 111%, and Thailand 101%. At the same time, 52% of top Amazon sellers now also sell on Walmart. The multi-platform reality is not a future trend. It is already how serious sellers operate.

Yet the tooling has not caught up. A seller listing on both Amazon and TikTok Shop today has no unified way to run competitive review analysis across both. Sellyze's architecture is designed to change that as its Walmart and TikTok Shop modules roll out.

Teikametrics made a similar multi-marketplace bet in December 2025 with its Artificial Retail Intelligence platform covering Amazon, Walmart, and TikTok Shop advertising. Two separate entrants in the same quarter validating the same category is typically a signal that the category is real.

What to Watch

Sellyze's current live territory is Amazon across the US, UK, Germany, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Egypt. The Walmart, Etsy, and TikTok Shop expansions are on the roadmap without confirmed timelines.

The question for APAC agencies evaluating the tool is whether cross-marketplace review intelligence proves to be a genuine workflow improvement or a feature that sounds better than it performs. At US$29/month for 20 analyses, the barrier to finding out is low enough that the answer will not take long to emerge.
